View a sample of the current Christian Seasons Calendar online at our sample page.

  • Submission deadline: May 1, 2017
  • Selected artists contacted by: June 1, 2017

While all artwork will be gratefully considered, artists are encouraged to offer artwork that interprets scripture readings and themes within the Christian Year. A list of the scripture readings used in Year B of the Revised Common Lectionary can be found at lectionary.library.vanderbilt.edu. There is one page available for an image for each of the following seasons: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week and Easter. There are five pages available for art in the Season after Pentecost. On these pages we seek images that portray Pentecost, All Saints Day and the Reign of Christ as well as images particular to biblical texts included in the lectionary readings during this season of growth in discipleship.

The images will be published on an 8 1/2 by 11" landscape page. Images that are in landscape format are most suited to this calendar.

If you would like to participate in this project please reply by email to Jennifer Griffin at uhillcalendar@gmail.com with no more than ten images of your work. Deadline for submission is Monday, May 1, 2017. Selected artists will be contacted by Thursday, June 1, 2017 and asked to forward high definition images (300 dpi or better) of their art for inclusion in the calendar.

Artists will receive five complimentary copies of the calendar and will be paid $300 CAD for each image used. Artists retain reproduction rights to their art. The fee is paid for use of an image in this year's calendar, and portions of the image may be used in promotion of the calendar in print or on the calendar web site.
